I am passionate about supporting people to live lives of optimum emotional,
psychological and spiritual well-being.

Sarah Wiesendanger

In my practice, I use an eclectic range of techniques supported by scientific research. The emphasis of my work is on empathic understanding, compassion, and on collaborating together with my clients to create solutions to move forward, and not to re-live the past.

I am committed to continually expanding my knowledge and expertise.

To date, I have completed trainings at: the Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy Education, Terapia (training in psychotherapy for children), the Human Givens College, the EFT Centre, Cruse BereavementMacmillan, London College of Clinical Hypnotherapy and I have studied mindfulness meditation with Julian Daizan Skinner Roshi.

My training covers a broad spectrum of approaches, including transpersonal (integrating a spiritual aspect), and cognitive/behaviourial, person-centred, and solution-focused counselling.

This enables me to tailor my methods to suit each individual client.

I am a counsellor at the Fountain Centre, Royal Surrey County Hospital, for PTSD Resolution, and Kooth online counselling service for young people, as well as working in private practice in Guildford.

I am a professional member of the Human Givens Institute and BSCH, and abide by the institutions’ code of ethics.
