Real support for real change
Sarah is happy to facilitate family meetings. These can be used to bring together all those whom you would like to invite to support and care for you during your illness.
It’s a time when people can share information about diagnosis and prognosis; when you can let people know how they can be helpful at different stages of your disease, what treatments you are prepared to engage with, and which you are not; and when caring schedules can be arranged.
Helping to bring the family together
Although patients often find these issues difficult to discuss, friends and family are usually eager to be of help, and grateful to be able to have a conversation about such essential issues. A family meeting can also be a good time for everyone to express heartfelt truths, or to begin a process of healing relationships.
